As India's economy continues to grow exponentially, more than 300 million people across the country still live in poverty, suffering from malnutrition, access to education and opportunity empowerment, and access to clean drinking water. Approximately a third of the world's poor live in India alone, struggling from gender and class inequalities.

In the 1970's, Joe Madiath founded Gram Vikas fighting for the most marginalized and impoverished communities in India through sustainable approaches.
